Dune Action Course – Don’t Miss the Chance to Sign Up!

The official kick off the Dune Action Course began in the stunning setting of Tyrella, Co. Down on April 11th. Surrounded by one of Ireland’s most beautiful dune systems, the first workshop marked the beginning of a 12-location, all-island rollout of this important climate adaptation programme funded by the SSE Airtricity Generation Green Fund.

The first session was a great success, with strong engagement from participants across community groups, local authorities and environmental organisations. A huge thanks to everyone who joined us and contributed to such an energetic and insightful day.

Led by Kevin Lynch (University of Galway) and James McConville (ACT), the course combines dune science with practical dune action β€” helping communities build coastal resilience through better understanding and protect their local dune systems.
