NEWSFLASH: Working on Sand Dunes – Some Advice
New guidance has been authored providing practical, easy-to-follow guidance for anyone planning work on or near sand dunes. Developed to support contractors, land managers, project planners, and any person whatsoever that has work to do in any sand dune whatsoever, they highlight how to carry out necessary activities while protecting fragile dune systems, wildlife, and coastal stability. From machinery use and site access to environmental considerations, legal requirements, and safety planning, the guidance emphasises a simple principle: avoid damage wherever possible and work with the natural landscape, not against it.
